Not every application fits a standard round or rectangular profile. Equipment designed around a specific cross-section, a component replacing a proprietary part no longer available off-the-shelf, or a product where the tube's shape is itself part of the engineering — these all call for a custom profile rather than a catalog item. Stainless steel's ductility is what makes this possible in the first place: the same formability that lets round tube be bent to shape also allows it to be re-formed into oval, elliptical, D-profile, and other non-standard sections, provided the profile is engineered correctly from the start.

Every custom shape request starts with your drawing and is evaluated on its own merits, not matched against a pre-existing list of "available custom shapes."

How custom shape development works

  1. 01
    Share your drawing
Send us the profile drawing/specification along with your target grade, wall thickness, and expected volume.
  2. 02
    Feasibility & tooling review
We assess whether the profile can be produced with existing tooling or requires new tooling, and what that means for cost and lead time. (to be confirmed: whether a tooling/development fee applies, and whether it's typically absorbed into a volume order or billed separately.)
  3. 03
    Sample production
A sample run is produced for your approval before committing to a full production order.
  4. 04
    Production order
Once the sample is approved, we move to your production quantity.

What shapes are possible

Common non-standard profiles we can evaluate include oval, elliptical, D-shaped, and other application-specific sections — the right approach depends entirely on your drawing and intended use. (to be confirmed: specific shape families successfully produced before, worth naming here as concrete examples once shareable — real examples are considerably more persuasive than a generic list.) Typical minimum order quantity and lead time: to be confirmed.

Where this shape is used.

Specialized equipment requiring a non-standard tube profile
OEM components designed around a specific cross-section
Heating elements or fittings requiring a custom-fit profile

Common questions.

Do you develop custom tube shapes, or only standard round/square profiles?
Yes — we evaluate custom profile requests case-by-case based on your engineering drawing, assessing tooling feasibility and minimum order quantity before production.
What do you need from us to evaluate a custom shape?
Your profile drawing or specification, target grade and wall thickness, and expected order volume — this lets us confirm feasibility and quote tooling/lead time accurately.
Is there a minimum order quantity for custom shapes?
to be confirmed — this depends on the specific profile and tooling requirement; ask us directly for your drawing.
